With a focus on high-quality biospecimen storage and sample stability, Ms. Ball leverages her extensive experience to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence at Astoriom.
An accomplished executive, Lori has held several C-level positions in the CRO, sample storage, and laboratory research industries. Ms. Ball’s career includes leadership roles at StageBio, BioIVT, LAB Strategies, and BioStorage Technologies, Inc. (now Azenta Life Sciences), as well as Covance, Inc. (now Labcorp). Lori has a proven track record of successful geographic expansions, profitable growth, and mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the life science R&D industry. Lori is recognized as a keynote speaker, published author, and Six Sigma business process methodology expert.

His early career at Sainsbury’s saw him manage the pharmacy and healthcare finance team, contributing to the business’s growth. Jack’s leadership style, characterized by openness and collaboration, is complemented by his personal commitment to a balanced and active lifestyle.
Mark Hammond

Mark Hammond serves as the Executive Chairman at Astoriom, bringing over 30 years of experience in contract laboratory and outsourced storage services for the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical industries. In his role, Mark applies his extensive leadership, commercial insight, and technical expertise to drive Astoriom’s strategic growth and operations.
Trained as an analytical chemist, Mark has a deep understanding of the life sciences sector, which he has leveraged throughout his diverse roles to foster innovation and growth. Mark is also the CEO of Cormica, where he has led significant mergers and acquisitions, including the integration of four businesses. His career includes notable positions such as CEO of Melbourn Scientific, Head of the UK Chemical & Pharmaceutical division at Intertek, and Commercial Director at Aesica Pharmaceuticals.
